2025/08/03

August 2nd

We started the day in the meeting room. We were told today’s schedule. After that,
We ate breakfast. We had some bread, fruit and vegetables. They were very delicious.
At 9am, we departed for store henge, while traveling, we passed through the M3 Motorway. It was higher standard than Japanese, so I was astonished.
After that, we arrived at the parking lot of Stonehenge and we rode the shuttle bus. Four minutes later. We arrived at Stonehenge. It was very big. I can’t believe it was made by ancient people. At that time, it was just noon, so we ate lunch near the stone henge. After an hour, we
were in the museum shop in the visitor center. I bought some gifts for my friends.
Soon after we started heading to Eton. Everyone was asleep. When I got to Eton, I had two classes and then dinner, which tasted better than usual. I think I’ll go to bed early today. (K.Y)

Today, we visited “Stone Hedge… It is a building which is not known for its purpose. I think it was built by a lot of people many years ago, but I wonder how it was built. Stone Hedge is made of very heavy stone. Even if they were able to carry the stones, it is very difficult to raise them. I think the way Stonehedge was built is one of the most mysterious things in the world. In the afternoon, I learned about the traditions of the UK. I learned about Easter and Bonfire for the first time.
These traditions are interesting to me. I spent today. I found that there are a lot of buildings and traditions in the UK and the history behind them is very long and makes me interested.  (W.T)

I have been in England for six days. I went to Stone Henge by bus. There were many big stones on the grassland. To walk around the Stone Henge felt good. And I ate a packed lunch there.
After coming back to Eton, I took two lessons. I studied about the same festivals in the UK. I saw pictures of Chiristmas in the UK. It was very beautiful. And I studied about pancake day. I want to experience it.
Well, I’m going to play sports from now on. I’m looking forward to it.  (M.U)

Sunday, August 3rd

Today, I had a lot of things to do.
First, we had breakfast and went to a lesson.
Today, Mr. Karan was absent, so today’s lesson to charge Mr. Nick.
Today’s lesson was about “British multi culture”.
We learned British cuisine and languages.
After the lesson, we had a photo competition and some games to lecture for Mr. Nick and Miss Sophie.
Second, we went to Hampton Court Palace. We saw the historic palace. My favorite place was Henry’s kitchen. That was so impressive for me.In my free time, I ate ice cream for the first time in Great Britain, ( ice cream was Sooo delicious!!)
Tomorrow, we will make scones and do some activities. I’m so excited now!!(C.I)

I woke up at 6:30. I ate the same breakfast yesterday. I had an egg, croissant, bread and yogurt. I love breakfast.
I had a class. We learned about British culture. I learned that there are 250 languages in England.
I had a lecture about Hampton Court. I was surprised that Prince Henry had six wives.
And, I ate pork, potatoes and a piece of cake for lunch.
I took many pictures in the schoolyard. We aimed to win, but we couldn’t.
Afterwards, I went to Hampton Court. I saw the crown and many paintings. They were very beautiful. It will be over in a few days, so I want to enjoy it. (K.F)

Today, I experienced a lot of things.
First, I took a lesson about multiculturalism. About, languages of each country were very impressive. I have never heard what languages are used in the United Kingdom.
After that, I played foreign’s own (maybe) game. Their name are “Red light, green light” and “Splut”. “Red light, green light” is similar to “Daruma-san ga Koronda” from Japan. “Splut” is difficult to explain.
Finally, I went to Hampton Court. The inside of it was similar to Windsor Castle. It was very beautiful. Also I ate crepe and a hamburger. Therefore, I couldn’t eat dinner.
It was a very good day !! (S.Y)

In the morning class, I heard stories about children studying many British cultures and other languages. Unlike Japan, you can freely choose a language other than English. In the second half, I learned about Hampton Court. I was told about Henry VIII and that he had six wives. When I actually went there, I first thought that it was very large and the land was big. Also, there were many paintings inside, and it was powerful. I couldn’t have much dinner because I ate crepes there. So I think I can eat well tomorrow morning. I don’t remember what to do tomorrow at all, but on the contrary, that’s why I am looking forward to it. (Y.О)
