★August 3, A Trip to Oxford
I woke up at 6:15 this morning, but I went back to sleep. After that, I attended two English classes in the morning.
Today, we went to Oxford University. We visited the library, the Christ Church dining hall, and some beautiful streets in the city. The British countryside was also very beautiful. One thing that surprised me was that many of the old buildings are connected to each other, so there are very few separate houses in the town. This made the city feel very unique.
For lunch, I ate two ham and cheese sandwiches. They were very filling, and I really enjoyed them.
In the afternoon, we painted by the river. It was peaceful and relaxing. I also saw swans and ducks, and they were very cute.
After the tour, we had some free time for shopping. I bought a key holder as a souvenir, and I love it.
Tomorrow, we will also visit many interesting places. I’m looking forward to another exciting day!(O.S.)

★August 3, Exploring Oxford
For breakfast, I had pain au chocolat, eggs, and orange bread with jam. Everything was delicious.
After breakfast, we went to Oxford. Our first stop was a church, and then we had lunch. I ate a ham and cheese sandwich, an apple, and some chips. After lunch, we had some free time, so I went shopping. I bought some pencils because I wanted to give them to my friends when I return to Japan.
Next, I visited Oxford’s T-Bot. It was much quieter than the other places we had visited, and I enjoyed walking around with our guide.
After that, we went to the Bodleian Library, the Bridge of Sighs, and several other famous places. After the tour, everyone took a short rest before we went punting. Punting on the river was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed the experience. We even saw lots of birds, which made it even more memorable.
In the evening, we had dinner. I wanted to buy some cookies, but they were sold out, so I couldn’t get any. I was a little disappointed.
On the way home, I fell asleep on the bus because I was very tired. For dinner, I had chicken salad and potato wedges. Everything was delicious.
Today was another wonderful day in Oxford, and I really enjoyed punting the most.
