★August 1st
Breakfast
・I put a banana in my cornflakes.
・It was very delicious.
Lesson ①
I learned about the British Museum.
For example, I learned about the origins of the Rosetta Stone and the moai statues.
Britain took the Rosetta Stone from Egypt and the moai statues from Easter Island in the past.
Now, whether these artifacts should be returned has become an important issue.
Lesson ②
We debated whether the British Museum should return the artifacts or keep them.
Hampton Court
I visited many places, such as Henry VIII’s Kitchens, the gardens, and William III’s Apartments.
I saw the crown in the Royal Chapel. I wanted to wear it.
The paintings were so beautiful that I was deeply impressed.
In my free time, I went into the garden maze. I was able to reach the side of the maze, but I couldn’t get to the center, so I couldn’t take a picture there.
I want to try the maze again someday.
I was so tired that I fell asleep on the bus.
I was looking forward to visiting London the next day.(N.A.)
★Today’s breakfast was hash browns, a croissant, cereal, and milk. It was very tasty.
We had a debate about whether the British Museum should keep or return its artifacts. I enjoyed the discussion.
I went to Hampton Court Palace. The building was very large and beautiful. It looked like a castle, and its gardens were beautiful.
Today was very fulfilling. I really enjoyed it.
