７月19日(日)～８月３日(月)のおよそ２週間，イギリス・モーバンにおいて次のようなプログラムが組まれます。

■英語授業

■スポーツ，グループアクティビティ，ディスコ…などです。

イートン語学研修との大きな違いは…“英語力を高めることに重点”を置いていること。

観光や見学は少なめでも，そのぶん実力を徹底的に鍛えます。英語科教員いわく「モーバンはガチ」。

★Report on My Experience at the Malvern International Course

1. My Preparations
Before going to England, I prepared for the Malvern International Course by studying English and learning about British culture. I was especially interested in communicating with people from other countries and experiencing daily life in England.
I also prepared myself to live independently. Since I would be staying away from home, I knew that I would need to manage my own schedule, prepare for activities, and follow the rules of the program.

2. The Journey
The journey to England was an exciting experience because it was my first opportunity to spend time in a different country as part of an international program. I was looking forward to meeting students from different countries and using English in real situations.
Although traveling to another country was a little stressful, I was also excited about what was waiting for me in England. The journey was the beginning of a valuable experience that was very different from my everyday life in Japan.

3. My First Impressions of Malvern
When I arrived at Malvern, I was impressed by the environment and the different daily routines. Life at Malvern was well organized, with a good balance between classes, sports, activities, and free time.
A typical day began at around 7:00 a.m. The staff came to wake us up, and we got ready for the day before having breakfast from 8:00 to 8:50.
After breakfast, we had English classes and modules. Our English modules were divided according to our level, based on a test taken at the beginning of the program. The classes were not especially difficult, and we worked on worksheets and took part in various activities with our classmates.
In the afternoon, we had another module or activity. We also experienced afternoon tea, which was new to me. After the activities, we had some free time before dinner and evening activities.
One thing I noticed was that our use of smartphones was limited. We could use our smartphones before breakfast and after the evening activities, but we could not use them freely during the day. At first, this was difficult for me, but I gradually realized that the rule encouraged us to communicate more with other students and take part in activities.

4. The Best Places I Visited
One of the highlights of the course was visiting London as part of the English module. It was a valuable opportunity to use English outside the classroom and experience British culture for ourselves.
The weekend schedule also gave us opportunities to go out and enjoy activities. On Saturday, we sometimes went to London, while on Sunday we could choose from activities such as sports and cooking.
These experiences helped me understand that learning about a country is not limited to studying its history or language in a classroom. Visiting places and experiencing them directly made British culture more real and interesting to me.

5. The Best English Person I Met
During the course, I had many opportunities to communicate in English with people from different countries. I spoke with other students during classes, meals, sports, and other activities.
One of the most valuable aspects of the course was having to communicate in English in everyday situations. I had to understand instructions in English and express my own ideas. These experiences helped me become more confident in using English.
Rather than simply studying English as a school subject, I was able to experience English as a real means of communication. This was one of the most important things I learned at Malvern.

6. The Best Food I Ate
Meals were also an important part of daily life at Malvern. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner with other students, and mealtimes were good opportunities to talk and communicate with people from different backgrounds.
I also had afternoon tea, which was a new experience for me. Having snacks and drinks during the break was enjoyable, and it gave us time to relax and talk with our friends.
Through meals, I was able to experience a different food culture from that of Japan. Eating together also helped me communicate naturally with other students.

7. My Favorite Memory of England
My favorite memories of England are the times when I communicated with students from different countries through sports and other activities.
We could play many different sports, including basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, pickleball, and badminton. The sports activities changed from day to day, so there was always something new to try.
I especially enjoyed being able to play sports while communicating in English. Even when it was difficult to express myself perfectly, I could communicate through simple English, actions, and teamwork.
Visiting London was another special memory. Being able to use English outside the classroom and experience the city for myself made the trip particularly meaningful.

8. My Evaluation of the Trip
Overall, I found the Malvern International Course to be a very valuable experience. It was much more than an English-learning program. I learned English through classes, sports, meals, and everyday conversations.
I also learned the importance of independence. We had to manage our own schedules, prepare for activities, follow the rules, and live together with other students.
Most importantly, I realized that using English in real life is very different from simply studying English in a classroom. I learned that communication is not only about grammar and vocabulary. It is also about listening carefully, expressing ideas, and making an effort to communicate with others.
This experience increased my confidence in using English and gave me a strong motivation to continue studying English. I would like to use what I learned at Malvern in my future studies and continue communicating with people from around the world.
Overall, the Malvern International Course was an unforgettable experience that helped me grow both as an English learner and as an independent person.
