■イートン生活についてのレクチャー　でした。

なかでもスコーン作りは食べたことはあっても作ることは珍しい経験ですね。

イギリス式スコーンとアメリカ式スコーンの違いも分かったでしょうか。

★A Fun Day of Learning and Making Scones
Today, I had a very busy day. After breakfast, I took lessons, listened to a lecture about Oxford, enjoyed team-building activities, played sports, and made scones.
The activity I enjoyed the most was playing sports. We played games like baseball. It was a little difficult, but it was a lot of fun. I was happy to enjoy the activities with my friends.
Making scones was another great experience. We worked in groups of four, and the scones we made together were delicious. I ate mine with strawberry jam and cream. It was my first time making scones by hand, so I was very excited.
The food in the UK is delicious, and eating with my friends makes every meal even more enjoyable.
In class, I learned about British traditions. My favorite tradition is afternoon tea because we do not have the same custom in Japan, and I think it is very charming. I would like to experience a traditional afternoon tea someday.
Overall, I had a wonderful day full of new experiences.　（K.M.）

★Learning about British Culture and Eton Life
Today, I took two lessons after breakfast.
First, I learned about British traditions such as Christmas and Easter. I was especially interested in Bonfire Night. It is held on November 5th every year. People usually set off fireworks and burn an effigy of Guy Fawkes. I would like to join this event someday.
After the lessons, we listened to a lecture about Oxford by Ms. Jenny. It was very interesting, and I learned many new things. I love the Harry Potter series, so I am excited about visiting Oxford.
Next, we enjoyed some team-building activities. We played four different games, and my favorite was the “Pipe Game,” a relay using a ball and pipes. We also played sports such as baseball. Although it was very hot, I really enjoyed the activities.
Later, we baked scones. My hands were covered in flour while I was cooking, but the scones turned out really well. I ate them with milk tea, and they were delicious.
After dinner, I listened to a lecture about life at Eton given by Mr. Shane and Mr. Nick. Hearing stories directly from Eton students was a rare and valuable experience, so I was very impressed.

★February 31, 2016
This morning, I ate breakfast. I had bacon and toast, and they were really nice. After breakfast, I took some lessons and learned about English traditions. I was able to see many examples, including fish and chips.
Later, I played baseball with gentlemen and ladies, and I enjoyed talking with many people. For dinner, I had spicy chicken. It was very hot, but I liked it a lot. It was really delicious.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow. Today was amazing. My favorite food is spicy chicken, and I think I like spicy food now.(M.Y.)
